McDonald’s Handcrafted Candies
Charles McDonald opened his first candy store in 1941 & McDonald’s Candies was born!
Larry Sieplinga bought and moved the business in 1969 to the current location on Getty Street. After 30 years at the helm, he sold the shop to Nancy Wagenmaker who had started as a teen serving customers and learning to make handmade chocolates.
ORIGINAL RECIPES AND METHODS
Nancy still makes candy and chocolates the old-fashioned way, from scratch using real ingredients and fresh roasted nuts. No preservatives are used, and the original recipes and methods are still being used today. McDonald’s Candies provides a melt-in-your-mouth taste that will brighten a day or help celebrate an event or milestone.
